This Wednesday sees the launch of Titan Comics ongoing Torchwood series.
Written by Captain Jack Harkness himself John Barrowman along with his sister Carole Barrowman, the series will run in the continuity of the new Torchwood audio dramas from Big Finish.
The debut issue features art by Antonio Fuso (The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest) and Pasquale Qualano (Batman ’66) with a host of variant covers by such Doctor Who artists as Tommy Lee Edwards (Tenth Doctor), Elena Casagrande (Tenth Doctor), Blair Shedd (Ninth Doctor), and Rod Reis (Eleventh Doctor).
The full synopsis reads:
“Captain Jack Harkness is back in Cardiff, and there’s only one person he can turn to, the last person who expected to see him, Gwen Cooper! On the road, on the run, and under fire, can the pair put aside their differences and rebuild the heart of Torchwood, before its flame is stamped out forever?”
Titan Comics Torchwood #1 will be released this Wednesday from all good stockists and digitally via Comixology.
