Brand New The Doctor Falls Image and Run Time Confirmed

The BBC have released a brand-new image for the explosive Doctor Who series 10 finale and confirmed that The Doctor Falls, which sees Missy and the Master on screen together for the first time, will be 60 minutes long.

Putting their own chilling spin on the iconic 50th anniversary poster for The Day of the Doctor, Missy (Michelle Gomez) and the Master (John Simm) will come face to face and battle the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) during the series’ two part finale which begins next weekend.

The episodes will also feature the return of the Cybermen – including the original Mondasian Cybermen, for the first time in over 50 years – plus Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie) and Nardole (Matt Lucas) in an epic adventure that will change Doctor Who forever!

Doctor Who’s series finale begins with episode 11, World Enough and Time, at 6:45pm on Saturday 24 June on BBC One. It concludes on Saturday 1 July with episode 12, The Doctor Falls – an extended, 60 minute episode.

  • Moo enough, bovine.

THAT POSTER IS THE GREATEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN maybe.

But they’re not face to face; they’re back to back…

  • Rick714

Just imagine if the powers that be were smart enough to keep the Master a surprise. I mean, considering we’re heading into a regeneration, Missy, the Mondas Cybermen…..isn’t that enough? Are they that insecure and faithless about the show now? Maybe you keep *some* surprises from the public, BBC? Idiots.

    • Mars bar

Maybe they have! When Susan, McGann and a CGI version of Delgado’s master appear in the finale with Bill’s mother, and a cyber version of Adric (oh wait…) then you’ll be glad they kept it secret!

    • Nigel Webb

I believe they DID want to keep it a secret but one of the rag papers (the Sun) I bleive got hold of the story and were going to publish it as an exclusive that Simm was back. So the BBC decided there and then to promote the news and to control it rather than let the paper spoil it

Yeah, it was the Sun. They were gonna put it in the trailer at the end of The Pilot anyway, but with a spoiler alert; the Sun outed the news about the surprise trailer, so they decided to just run it anyway.
