Doctor Who Escape Hunt Dates Announced – Tickets Now On Sale

There was panic on the streets last week as the Cybermen marched through major British cities – but the silver giants had descended to Earth to promote the latest Doctor Who visitor attraction rather than to subjugate mankind.

Announced earlier this year, Worlds Collide is the first official Doctor Who live escape game and will give fans a chance to join the Doctor and travel into the future, where eccentric billionaire Alastair Montague’s attempts to develop time travel have led to a tear in the fabric of space and time which the Cybermen will use to attack the planet.

Working in teams of up to six, players will have 60 minutes to work out how to deal with the breach before the metallic menaces break through, using only what remains of Montague, his prototype time engine, and the collection of time-related artefacts gathered over the course of his experiments. Fail and the entire human race will be upgraded (shudder).

The Cybermen were seen in Birmingham and Leeds, two of the host cities for the new game, threatening to ‘upgrade’ shoppers. The police apparently stood by and did nothing about it but there you go…

The dates when the game arrives at each venue are as follows:

  • Bristol – 16th January 2019
  • Leeds – 25th January 2019
  • Oxford – 8th February 2019
  • Manchester – 22nd February 2019
  • Reading – 8th March 2019
  • Birmingham – 22nd March 2019

Richard Harpham, CEO Escape Hunt plc, says:

“We are thrilled that tickets are now on sale and fans can start booking to be the first to play the game in January. We are extremely proud of Worlds Collide and look forward to giving fans a unique Doctor Who escape game experience.”

Mat Way, Global Director, Live Entertainment at BBC Studios, says:

“We’re very excited to be revealing details of the very first official Doctor Who escape game in collaboration with Escape Hunt. We used to hide behind the sofa when the Cybermen appeared on TV, it’s amazing that fans will soon be able to encounter them face to face.”

Tickets are now on sale for six Escape Hunt locations via the event website.
