#FollowFriday: Sean Pertwee

At the DWC, we like to shine a light on the community of Doctor Who folk on Twitter. We do this once a week, on a Friday, because #FollowFriday used to be a thing. Probably a hipster-y thing, but it was a thing nonetheless.
And as it’s Third Doctor Week here, today’s #FF is the brilliant Sean Pertwee.
Shockingly, Sean, the son of Jon Pertwee, has never been in Doctor Who – though he was briefly in The Five(Ish) Doctors Reboot – but it’s surely/hopefully just a matter of time. Sure, some think he’d make a great Third Doctor (and yes, he would), but wouldn’t it be just as great for him to play a recurring guest character?
Sean was born in 1964, and followed his father into acting, appearing in a wide range of TV shows and films since the early 1990s, including Cold Feet, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, 4.3.2.1. (directed by Noel Clarke, aka Mickey Smith), and The Ruth Rendell Mysteries. More recently, he’s appeared in Death in Paradise, The Musketeers, and, as Lestrade, Elementary, CBS’ series inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes books.
Right now, Sean’s starring as Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s faithful butler and guardian, in the DC series, Gotham, so expect a lot of tweets about that.

And he’s a regular at conventions too.

But don’t worry if you’re not a DC fan; his *does* tweet Doctor Who too!
