If you’ve been paying attention, you might’ve noticed that this year, the DWC is taking a different approach to weekly themes. Instead of having themes all the time, we’re having one month on, one month off; as ever, the months with no set themes will nonetheless include your normally array of news and reviews!
So far, February and April have included weeks dedicated to the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Doctors.
You might be expecting the Eighth Doctor to be featured prominently this week. Subsequently, you’ll probably be a bit mystified about why this isn’t the case.
Don’t worry: we’ll definitely be featuring Eighth Doctor Week later in the year – it’s currently set for June, in fact – but we had other plans for this week. Namely, Target Week. Yep, we’ve got some cool stuff pencilled in, all about the latest books: City of Death, Rose, The Christmas Invasion, The Day of the Doctor, and Twice Upon A Time.
You’ll have noticed it’s not Target Week right now. That’s because a thing happened. That thing? The Royal Mail.
But have no fear – Target Week is imminent. It will be happening very soon. After that, normal service will resume – i.e. regular themes again in June, August, October, and so on.
Bear with us, folks. We’re overcoming these hurdles, slowly but surely. We’ll still be updating you with all the latest goodies from the Doctor Who universe!
