Merry Christmas from The Doctor Who Companion!

As the old Judoon saying goes, roh mo slo wo bo sho mo crato! Yes, everyone here at the DWC agrees with the sentiment and wishes all our readers a very Merry Christmas!

No, there’s no Christmas Day special of Doctor Who this year, but we do have Resolution to look forward to. (Yep, we’ll have a review of the story up soon afterwards, as well as the standard poll that we encourage you to get involved with.)

And the moment has been prepared for – because tomorrow, on Christmas Day, we’ve got a festive tale coming your way. It stars the Thirteenth Doctor, alongside her companions, Yaz Khan, Graham O’Brien, and Ryan Sinclair, written by our own James Baldock.

As Christmas week continues, we’ve got some treats in store, including ruminations on Series 11 (noting our favourite episodes, what didn’t work, and questioning if the season would’ve hit a better note with that old Doctor Who staple: cliffhangers).

We’ll also be talking about the Christmas specials of the past, Doctor Who‘s most important speeches, and the history of knitw— guys, this says “knitwear”. Is that right? It’s right? Well, I don’t know, check; it could be a typo –yes, the history of knitwear!

We’ve plenty going on behind-the-scenes, and 2019 is looking bright. So stick with us, folks.

Have a wonderful time. Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good-night.
