After the announcement that B&M stores would be making exclusive action figure sets of Big Finish adventures, pairing Doctors with unusual Daleks, the audio company revealed they had limited stock of the figurines too. However, they sold out within just a couple of hours.
But if you turn to eBay, you’ll see the sets up for auction – with some paying hundreds of pounds for them. But please don’t.
It’s not that we don’t understand where some sellers are coming from – after all, we’d all like to make a bit of extra cash if we can. But equally, some prices are extortionate and you’ll still be able to buy the sets from your local B&M stores anyway.
That’s right: Big Finish might’ve sold out, but B&M are yet to stock them. If you’ve got a store anywhere near you, all you need to do is wait (and hope you get there in time).
True, these sets normally sell out in store quickly too, but smaller locations sometimes keep stock in for months afterwards: indeed, my nearest B&M has last year’s exclusives still on the shelves. I picked up a beautiful 1970s collection just last week.
So be patient. You don’t need to turn to eBay so soon. B&M stores will likely roll out the sets nationwide over the next 2 to 3 weeks.
After that, if you still can’t find them, by all means turn to online auction sites. Nonetheless, we want to discourage anyone from thinking that, simply because Big Finish has sold out, you won’t be able to get your hands on them.
