Enjoy a Free Doctor Who Night at the Natural History Museum This Friday

The Natural History Museum in Kensington is hosting a free event based around Doctor Who, an after-hours adult-only themed night which gives you the chance to meet some behind-the-scenes crew and watch a Tenth Doctor story on the big screen.

The night will take place on Friday 25th October 2019, as part of the Museum’s monthly after-hours series, Lates.

Fans can chat to the Doctor Who Special Effects team, Millennium FX (who will be in the Flett Theatre at 7pm and 8:15pm to talk about how they draw inspiration from animals to create both the look and the lifestyle of creatures like the Judoon), and discover the fact behind the fiction when visiting Science Stations, manned by the Museum’s scientists, who will talk you through all the latest research.

The TARDIS will also be there under the 6m suspended moon in the Jerwood Gallery, so fans can take photos with the Doctot’s incredible Space-Time Ship.

And, starting at 6pm and screening hourly in the Attenborough Studio, you can watch Smith and Jones, the first appearance of Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman).

This is a free event, but VIP tickets are also available at £10 each; these offer:

  • 6.30pm priority entry via the VIP queue at the Main Entrance
  • A welcome drink
  • 15% off in The Shop

Otherwise, admission is free, but you have to reserve a ticket. Seating is first come, first served.
