Yes, today’s poll about the latest episode of Doctor Who is earlier than usual, but there are a couple fo reasons for this: firstly, the show isn’t guaranteed to air on BBC1 tonight (17th May 2025), owing to the football potentially overrunning; and secondly, The Interstellar Song Contest is full of stuff we think you’ll want to talk about.
Nonetheless, this post will be free of spoilers — the comments section, less so. So if you’ve not seen The Interstellar Song Contest yet, be wary.
Please vote in the poll below and air your thoughts about the episode in general and about the revelations and surprise cameo in the comments section below.

This post is a little shorter than usual, but that is largely as I feel a bit deflated about Juno Dawson writing for the season, given that she’s previously been ridiculously homophobic (she told Attitude magazine that “a lot of gay men are gay men as a consolation prize, because they couldn’t be women”) and her books, particularly Wonderland, are for a suggested age range of 12- to 18-year-olds yet features a great deal of drug use throughout and graphic depictions of sex. 18-year-olds might be fine with some of that, but thinking that they are appropriate for 12-year-olds, for children at all, is shocking. Note that I am an individual, and everyone on the DWC will have different opinions.
