Candy Jar Books Announces Its Biggest Ever Summer Sale, Including Doctor Who Titles

Candy Jar Books has launched its summer sale, including a whole host of great bargains on Doctor Who-related titles — including 100 Objects of Dr Who and Companions: More Than Sixty Years of Doctor Who Assistants, both written by me. Yes, I am shameless.

You can get £2 off the 700-page Companions, and similarly, £2 off 100 Objects of Dr Who, bringing the latter down to £7.99. That’s like one pint in London. Probably.

Plus, there are lots of other deals, including on a range of art books. So Timeslides: The Doctor Who Art of Colin Howard is just £10 as a paperback, Kklak!, all about Chris Achilleos is £14.99, and The Invisible Artist from Jeff Cummins is also £10. There’s also £1 off Jeff’s latest book, Outside the Box, to mark his exhibition at Peterborough Museum. You can also pre-order the upcoming paperback edition of Andrew Skilleter’s Exterminart! for £17.99.

You can further get the hardback of two UNIT titles, The Vaughn Identity, and Operation Fall-Out, for £12.50 each; you can get the paperback of the latter for just £5. The non-fiction UNIT: A Legacy in Doctor Who is available for £8.99.

And a load of Lethbridge-Stewart books have gone down in price for the summer, including The Schizoid Earth, a sequel to Inferno.

There are actually 49 books in Candy Jar’s sale, making it the publisher’s biggest ever event. These price don’t include postage, but they’re still huge savings.

And if you’ve not dipped into The Lucy Wilson Mysteries yet, you can try some out very cheaply! Lucy is the granddaughter of the Brigadier, and she meets all sorts of alien baddies, including original foes and the Great Intelligence, Borad, and Rutans. Here’s what’s on sale from The Lucy Wilson Mysteries:

The sale runs on Candy Jar Books’ website across the summer, so check it out.
