What Did You Think of Episodes Three and Four of The War Between the Land and the Sea?

In today’s episodes of the new Doctor Who spin-off, The War Between the Land and the Sea, we’re taken into the depths, to meet Homo Aqua, aka the redesigned Sea Devils, on their home turf. Or, uhm, home reef.

As with last week, we’re putting our normal polls up early as we want to encourage more speculation about the upcoming double bill, which airs tonight (14th December 2025) from 8:30pm on BBC1.

Viewers outside the UK won’t get to see the series until the new year, thanks to Disney+ holding it back to 2026 and the BBC deciding to broadcast it before Christmas. So be cautious: the comments section will include spoilers, as will our upcoming reviews!

Following last week’s meetings between Homo Aqua and mankind in London, Salt (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) requested the next meeting take place in the sea, so, in The Deep, Barclay (Russell Tovey) ventures under the waves. But things quickly get out of hand as Tide (Samuel Oatley) gets involved and UNIT — and humanity — suffers, as we see in The Witch of the Waterfall!

So what do you think of the series so far?

The first two episodes went down pretty well, so did episodes three and four measure up? We’d love for you to vote in our polls below, then expand on your thoughts in the comments section below!
