Happy Easter! Celebrate With This Free Short Story, Written by the Doctor Who Companion’s Editor

You can now read a free short story, written by the editor of The Doctor Who Companion (that’s, uh, well, me!), and starring the granddaughter of Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart.

Lucy Wilson essentially inherited the position of defender of the planet from her grandfather, so travels to different times and places using her Time Ring to battle off alien invaders. She’s normally joined by her best friend, Hobo. But in my story, 100 Things That Happened on Easter Island, she’s not accompanied by Hobo — in fact, the Lucy we find is an older professor, escaping from a terrible threat consuming the universe.

And while escaping, she happens on Easter Island… and a creature made entirely of Maths!

Yes, the enemy is Maths. Terrifying.

The 26-page download is a complete short story with Professor Lucy Wilson, and at the back, you’ll find news of an upcoming title in The Lucy Wilson Mysteries, coming soon from Candy Jar Books, and find out more about the range. Nonetheless, you can be a complete newcomer and still (hopefully!) enjoy the tale.
