#FollowFriday: Louise Jameson

It’s Friday, and you know what that means, don’t you? The weekend is around the cor– I mean, it’s #FollowFriday, when the DWC highlights Doctor Who folk on Twitter. And this week, we’re telling you to follow…
Louise Jameson, aka Leela!
Cast your mind back to 1977 and the TARDIS had a new face on board: Leela, who initially believed the Doctor to be “the evil one,” but soon realised what an incredible person he was. Fortunately, Leela was pretty darn incredible too, and she quickly won the hearts of the nation. She appeared in 9 serials from The Face of Evil to The Invasion of Time, including a number of fan-favourites like The Talons of Weng Chiang, Horror of Fang Rock, and Robots of Death, a story I especially love.
Louise has since appeared in EastEnders, Doc Martin, and Tenko, and works a lot with Big Finish, notably starring opposite Tom Baker once more in The Fourth Doctor Adventures and alongside Lalla Ward (Romana) and, more recently, Sophie Aldred (Ace) in the Gallifrey dramas.
Anyone who’s been lucky enough to meet her at conventions will know how lovely and fan-orientated she is, and of course that cheerful and thoughtful nature extends to Twitter.

She’s also very responsive, a great ambassador for the show, so you’ll see plenty of replies to fellow fans.
Right now, she’s starring in the world’s longest-running theatrical show, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. #KeepTheSecret!

And just because…
