Nick Briggs Reflects on the Daleks Getting Their Own Animated Series for Time Lord Victorious

The Daleks are getting their own animated series in November; Daleks! will be free to watch on the Doctor Who YouTube channel, and ties into the multi-platform event, Time Lord Victorious.

Nick Briggs, voice of the species since Dalek, will once again be bringing them to life for the series. So what can he tell us about the animation?

He said:

“The dream job for me was to become the voice of the Daleks all those years ago back in 2004, and this is just takes it to another level really. It’s full on dark action with great characters – and you maybe wouldn’t expect that from Daleks because you tend to think of them as a bit monotone.

“It’s a really compelling drama and lots of fun and something very spectacular for all the family to look at. It’s great for adult fans as well as for children of all ages.”

Daleks! stars Anjli Mohindra (The Sarah Jane Adventures), Ayesha Antoine (Midnight), and YouTuber, Joe Sugg, and is written by James Goss.

The series promises different models of Daleks, seemingly on Skaro, but we don’t yet know much else about it!

Daleks! comes to YouTube in November 2020.
