Looking for Christmas present ideas for your loved ones? You’re early, but there’s nothing wrong with being that organised! And fortunately, we have the perfect book for the Doctor Who fans in your life.
The Wintertime Paradox contains 12 festive stories. Did you know Davros and the Doctor met for three Christmases, on different planets, across time and space? Have you heard the one about the time the Plasmavores came to pay a festive visit? Or when Madame Vastra fought a cyborg? Here’s a little bit more about the new hardback:
Christmas can mean anything . . .
For Missy, it’s solving Murders in 1909
For a little girl in Dublin, it’s Plasmavores knocking at the door.
For Davros, it’s a summons from the Doctor, who needs the mad inventor’s help.
The perfect collection for the bleakest – and sometimes brightest – time of the year, these are the tales for when you’re halfway out of the dark…
Writer, Dave Rudden is a former actor and teacher, and the author of the award-winning Knights of the Borrowed Dark trilogy. You’ll probably know him best, however, for writing 2018’s Twelve Angels Weeping.
The Wintertime Paradox very much follows in the same vein – an anthology of eclectic stories, no doubt released for fans of all ages to unwrap come Christmas Day. And while we’re promised Revolution of the Daleks sometime over the festive season, we don’t know exactly when, so The Wintertime Paradox might be the only Doctor Who treat on Christmas itself.
This isn’t a cash-grab, though: Rudden’s a great Doctor Who writer, so this collection is sure to be a hit.
