The BBC has revealed the titles for the upcoming season of Doctor Who, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, plus writers and directors for each episode.
While the lion’s share have been written by showrunner, Russell T Davies, we welcome in some new writers like Inua Ellams and Sharma Angel Walfall, and see the return of Kerblam! scribe, Pete McTighe. Similarly, we’ve got a few new directors like Amanda Brotchie and Makalla McPherson, alongside Alex Sanjiv Pillai, who helmed Joy to the World, and Peter Hoar, who shot the brilliant A Good Man Goes to War all the way back in 2011.
Here are all the titles and creative teams:
- The Robot Revolution: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Peter Hoar
- Lux: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Amanda Brotchie
- The Well: Written by Russell T Davies & Sharma Angel Walfall, directed by Amanda Brotchie
- Lucky Day: Written by Pete McTighe, directed by Peter Hoar
- The Story & the Engine: Written by Inua Ellams, directed by Makalla McPherson
- The Interstellar Song Contest: Written by Juno Dawson, directed by Ben A. Williams
- Wish World: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai
- The Reality War: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai
Davies said:
“Excitement mounts as the new season gets closer, and there’s nothing a Doctor Who fan loves more than facts! So here’s a whole bunch of them, with titles and writers, everything you need to get ready for transmission!”
Wish World and The Reality War will be a two-part finale for the season. And The Story & the Engine seems to be the first title with an ampersand in it since Love & Monsters!
The least surprising titles are The Robot Revolution and The Interstellar Song Contest, which have been rumoured for some time now. New companion, Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu), will make her debut in the former, while Millie Gibson will return as Ruby Sunday in Lucky Day.
Doctor Who Series 15 will begin on BBC1, BBC iPlayer, and Disney+ on 12th April 2025.
