Doctor Who Fans: Will We See You at the Bedford Who Charity Con Tomorrow?

The Bedford Who Charity Con takes place tomorrow (Saturday 11th April 2026, 10.00am to 5.30pm), and numerous members of the Doctor Who Companion will be there — so will you also be in attendance?

The guests coming to the convention are:

  • Colin Baker (the Sixth Doctor)
  • David Bradley (who’s played both the First Doctor and First Doctor actor, William Hartnell)
  • Jo Martin (the “Fugitive” Doctor)
  • Nicola Bryant (Peri Brown)
  • Wendy Padbury (Zoe Heriot)
  • Lisa Bowerman (Cheetah Person and Professor Bernice Summerfield)
  • Terry Molloy (Davros and Russell in Attack of the Cybermen)
  • David Banks (Cyberleader)
  • Mark Hardy (Cyberlieutenant)
  • Sarah Berger (Cryon)

Berger is also an artist, and has painted special commissions for the show — Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant, and River Song actress, Alex Kingston, which will all be for sale. She’s donating a percentage of the profits to SMART, a charity which supports and helps the homeless people in Bedford.

In fact, the convention itself raises money for SMART.

The photo shoot is essentially free, unlike most events out there; just give what you can by donating to the charity bucket!

There will also, of course, be numerous stalls for you to buy Who goodies from, as well as a raffle.

Simon Danes, of the DWC, organises the event, alongside his brother, Frank (who also writes for the DWC!). Similarly staffing the event will be our very own Anthony Forth. I’ll also be there, with a fetching lanyard, so please do say hello if you see any of us!

Or turn up on the day and you might be able to get in too if the venue isn’t too overcrowded. Either way, this is a hugely popular event, so we hope you can make it.

See you there!
