Coming Soon from the Worlds of Doctor Who: The Benton Files VII

Candy Jar Books has announced a new instalment in its The Benton Files series — and this seventh book will be available free with any orders of the hardcover version of UNIT: The Vaughn Supremacy. It can also be bought separately.

The Benton Files VII features two short stories, one by James Middleditch (Counter Measures: Birds of Prey) and another by Kara Dennison (The Black Archive: Mawdryn Undead).

The tales star Sergeant John Benton of UNIT, played on screen by John Levene throughout the Third Doctor era.

Two stories. Two unexpected returns.

An unwelcome face from the past forces John Benton to confront old rivalries and uncomfortable truths, and to question whether the greatest threats are always the ones we recognise.

Meanwhile, in the quiet Wiltshire countryside, a mysterious driver begins turning heads with a machine that shouldn’t be possible… and a long-forgotten name resurfaces with explosive consequences.

From shadowed conspiracies to high-speed pursuits, this latest volume of The Benton Files proves that even in retirement, the past has a habit of catching up.

The stories in this book will also feature in The Benton Files Collection, a special compendium that brings together all the tales from across the Benton Files line in case you missed any.

You can pre-order The Benton Files VII on its own via Candy Jar Books, or order UNIT: The Vaughn Supremacy hardback and get The Benton Files VII free! And if you’d like to see the stories from across all seven volumes collected together in one — featuring the work of Tim Gambrell, Hayden Gribble, Ian Ball, John Peel, George Ivanoff, Kenton Hall, Matt Barber, Paul Driscoll, Andrew Allen, and me! — you can order The Benton Files Collection.
