Class Clip Reveals A Very Similar Crack in Time

Let’s talk about cracks.
Cast your minds back a few weeks ago when the first picture of Class was revealed – could the crack in time be related to the very same cracks that appeared during Matt Smith’s tenure as the Doctor?
Well, there’s certainly a similarity between them and past fissures in the fabric of the universe and, in fact, in this new soundless clip released via Twitter, the similarities are quite striking.

The crack in question this time appears in the corridor of Coal Hill School, widens and reveals a burning world, devastated by some unknown force – only for a mysterious smoky black identity to pour towards us and, by default, the young scamps of Class.
So far, so Torchwood. Despite that resemblance, it isn’t clear if the cracks perform the same function as those seen during the Eleventh Doctors first series. They may even have their own rules.
Regardless, it’s good to see that the ‘in the same universe as Doctor Who’ tag does seem to be true and it doesn’t just extend to the Doctor poking his face in like some particularly angry OFSTED inspector.
Class episodes 1 and 2 will be released on Saturday 22nd October on BBC3.
