Series 10 of Doctor Who is now over – sorry – and so we naturally turn to Christmas. Sure, it’s a time for happiness and family and coming together. But it’s also a time for tears and regenerations and annuals. Oh, we love a good annual – those gloriously odd tomes that kids love, adults love, and for some reason, they’re dated for the following year from the one they’re published in.
Penguin Books has shared a glimpse at the 2018 Doctor Who Annual, namely its cover – so something you should be prepared to see in every bookshop later this year, in the hands of children all over the country, and probably on 25th December. Feast your eyes:
Okay, it’s fairly generic, but it’s also a pretty nice design. Certainly something that fits the current colour scheme of the series, and should stand out on the shelves.
Sorry to break this to you, girls and boys, but it’s very likely that this will be the last Doctor Who annual to feature Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor, Pearl Mackie’s Bill Potts, and Matt Lucas’ Nardole on the front. Apologies.
The annual promises secrets from the latest series, fact files on the latest terrifying monsters, exciting comic strips, stories, and activities.
The Doctor Who Annual 2018 is out on 21st September 2017, with an RRP of £7.99.
