The Thirteenth Doctor and the TARDIS crew have landed in Sheffield and, between filming scenes for series 11 in front of Park Hill Flats, Jodie Whittaker has been out and about meeting up with some local admirers.
Very much continuing to the fine tradition of posing with fans and well wishers laid down by her predecessor Peter Capaldi, Whittaker made time for the gather fans in between saving the galaxy (or at the very least, the Sheffield part of the galaxy).
On such fan, Jennifer Bulcock tweeted a photo of her children with Jodie Whittaker along with a heart-warming tale of hero worship.
Bulcock wrote:
“Thank you so much Jodie Whittaker aka The Doctor for stepping out of her TARDIS for an amazing moment to speak to 2 of my kids.
“My daughter is so pleased she can dress up as the doctor & even had her hair cut the same as Jodie’s.”

What’s more, the Radio Times have cobbled together this video of all the photos of Whittaker with fans – seriously, there are quite a few.
And finally, the BBC Radio Sheffield has this video of assorted clips of the Thirteenth Doctor and her companions Graham (Bradley Walsh), Ryan (Tosin Cole) and Yasmin (Mandip Gill) in action.
Doctor Who returns this Autumn on BBC One.
