Last seen floating in the cold vacuum of space, it’s going to take a lot more than a sonic screwdriver fused with Sheffield steel to save the Doctor and her new friends in the second episode of series 11, The Ghost Monument.
Written by showrunner Chris Chibnall and directed by Mark Tonderai, the episode sees Jodie Whittaker’s newly regenerated Doctor and her new friends thrust into a hostile alien environment. Under fire from deadly alien forces and forced to team up with a couple of desert dwelling locals, they’re going to have to keep their wits about them if they hope to solve the mystery of Desolation.
No TARDIS and trapped in an unfamiliar environment, it’s going to take all the new Doctors guile to keep her new companions Ryan (Tosin Cole), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Graham (Bradley Walsh) alive.
