Sing The Long Song and Be Part of the Biggest Doctor Who Choir Ever!

Doctor Who fans are being urged to take part in a collaborative project involving The Long Song from The Rings of Akhaten, the Series 7 episode starring Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor, Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald, and Emilia Jones as Merry Gejelh.

Composer, Borna Matosic will cover the track, and is calling on fans around the world to make the biggest Doctor Who cover ever – making up a massive choir to join in on the relevant section!

Here’s Matosic and Doctor Who Magazine‘s Emily Cook to tell you more:

So here’s what you need to do:

  • Find the track on YouTube;
  • Listen with headphones and sing along with the choir while recording yourself (make sure you’re recording just your voice, not the track);
  • Send your audio file to doctorwholockdown@gmail.com by Sunday 10th May 2020.

These audio files will be collated together by Matosic.

You don’t need to be a superb singer and you don’t need special recording equipment either, so anyone can get involved!

To clarify: you can sing everything the choir sings in The Long Song, and your voice will be combined with those from fans worldwide.

An amazing project – bringing fans together once more during the Coronavirus lockdown.
