Steven Moffat and Douglas Mackinnon Join Watch-Along of Listen

The next Doctor Who watch-along will be the Twelfth Doctor masterpiece, Listen, from Series 8, and takes place tomorrow – that’s Wednesday 20th May 2020!

Writer, Steven Moffat (The Eleventh Hour) will be live-tweeting, as will director, Douglas Mackinnon (The Sontaran Stratagem/ The Poison Sky). And of course, as ever, you can get involved too, by simply pressing play on the episode from 7pm (BST) and tweeting using the hashtag #FearIsASuperpower.

These watch-alongs are organised by Emily Cook, as a means of bringing together Doctor Who fans from across the globe during this testing time, caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. They began with a rewatch of The Day of the Doctor and continued with stories like Vincent and the Doctor, Dalek, and, most recently, The Fires of Pompeii.

Listen was the fourth episode of Peter Capaldi’s first series as the Doctor, joined by Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald, who, in this episode, goes on a date, (probably) finds herself on Gallifrey, and fancies herself from behind. Fair enough. She also needs three mirrors, you know.

It’s a great episode with the perfect message right now – particularly the closing speech from Clara.

So that’s 7pm on 20th May 2020. We hear more additional material will be released beforehand too, so keep an eye out!
