What Did You Think of Doctor Who: Boom?

Former showrunner, Steven Moffat, is back writing Doctor Who! And while some people will have shrieked at this news, others (myself included) jumped for joy. But ultimately, no matter your feelings on a specific writer, or indeed any members of a production crew, what matters is the episode itself.

So what did you think of Boom, the third episode of Doctor Who Series 14, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday?

The Doctor takes Ruby to a warzone and has to beat the baddies without moving — because he’s stepped on a landmine. Great premise, but how does it compare to Moffat’s other serials, many of which — Blink, The Eleventh Hour, The Pandorica Opens/ The Big Bang, A Good Man Goes to War, The Day of the Doctor, Listen, Heaven Sent, World Enough and Time/ The Doctor Falls — are considered masterpieces.

Is Boom the first Fifteenth Doctor episode that might be a masterpiece? Or did Boom go bust?
