Tom Baker, Colin Baker, and Peter Purves to Perform A Christmas Carol Audio… on Stage!

There’s a chance to see some top rank Doctor Who stars this month as Colin Baker and Peter Purves appear in a touring production of A Christmas Carol. And to add to the excitement, Tom Baker is making a filmed appearance as Jacob Marley.

The show is presented as an audio drama, with Colin playing Scrooge and Peter the legendary story’s author, Charles Dickens. Sound effects will be played live in what is sure to be a very atmospheric evening. The blurb runs like this:

On Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge is warned by the ghost of Jacob Marley that he will be visited by three Spirits – Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet To Come. They whisk Scrooge to the past and his happy boyhood Christmastimes, to the present to meet Tiny Tim at Bob Cratchit’s Christmas feast, and to the future and Scrooge’s own miserable grave – all to show him the error of his ways. But will Scrooge wake on Christmas morning a changed man?
