Ncuti Gatwa will be the spokesman for this weekend’s Eurovision competition, delivering the results of the UK’s National Jury live during the show’s Grand Final.
This will take place on Saturday 17th May 2025, the same day The Interstellar Song Contest hits BBC iPlayer and Disney+; it’s also expected to air on BBC1 earlier that day, though this partly depends on whether the football coverage overruns. They’re calling this “Super Saturday”.
The Interstellar Song Contest, of course, is inspired by Eurovision, and will even feature Graham Norton, the normal Eurovision narrator.
During the Eurovision Grand Final, 25 countries, and the UK’s act, Remember Monday (singing What The Hell Just Happened?), will perform in a bid to host next year’s contest. The Interstellar Song Contest is similar, and features the Doctor and new companion, Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu), travelling to the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest, co-hosted by Rylan, where planets from across the universe compete for the top prize.
Ncuti follows in the footsteps of a few Who alumni, including Joanna Lumley (an alternate Doctor in The Curse of Fatal Death), Alex Jones (Lucky Day), and Tenth and Fourteenth Doctors companion, Catherine Tate (Donna Noble).
You can see Ncuti deliver the results of the UK National Jury live during the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final on Saturday 17th May from 8pm (BST) on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
