Character Options Unveil New Remembrance of the Daleks and Revenge of the Cybermen Action Figures

Character Options have revealed two new Doctor Who action figure sets, collecting together toys based on the Fourth Doctor story, Revenge of the Cybermen, and the Seventh Doctor classic, Remembrance of the Daleks.

The two sets will be exclusive to B&M Stores, rolling out to shops later this month.

Each pack features a back-of-pack description (i.e. the normal blurb found on the back of each box), and details on the inspiration behind each.

Rather nicely, the Revenge of the Cybermen set includes a Cybermat, while the Remembrance of the Daleks pack, of course, features a Special Weapons Dalek.

Revenge of the Cybermen Figure Set

This impressive re-release of a well-loved set includes updated and improved versions of the Cyber Leader and two Cybermen as well as a Cybermat accessory.

The Cybermen release a mysterious space plague aboard Space Beacon Nerva to kill the crew. After infecting Sarah, she is sent via transmat with Harry to the nearby planet Voga to purge the cyber poison from her body.

Another problem quickly materializes, as a battered troop of Cybermen arrive in an ancient Cyber Ship with plans to destroy Voga, ‘The Planet Of gold’ utterly, before restarting their Cyber War. Using humans, and The Doctor to carry bombs to the centre of Voga, they come perilously close to success before finally being obliterated on their escape, by the Vogans redirecting a rocket against their ship.

History of the Daleks #20 – Remembrance of the Daleks

The set comes with one Imperial Dalek, plus the unique and intimidating Special Weapons Dalek with updated deco and some revised parts.

The Doctor returns to Earth in 1963 to retrieve an ancient weapon he left there in his first incarnation. Unknowingly though the Daleks have discovered the weapon and now two groups of Daleks are marauding across London to be the first to retrieve it. One group is loyal to Davros their creator and one is loyal to the Renegade Daleks.

As things heat up the Seventh Doctor and a group of humans get caught up in the crossfire. Davros sends an elite Battle squad to earth in a shuttle to retrieve the device including a heavy Weapons Dalek with a huge and powerful Cannon. The stakes have never been higher, but as usual the Doctor has a plan.

We expect the price points for both these sets to be equivalent to previous ones, i.e. around £20-£30 each, though the longer you wait, the more likely you’ll find them at sale prices; however, these tend to sell out at the more popular stores, largely due to scalpers, so you obviously risk missing out completely if you wait too long. Either way, these are expected at UK B&M Stores over the coming weeks.
