What Did You Think of the First Two Episodes of The War Between the Land and the Sea?

The new Doctor Who spin-off airs today in the UK, with The War Between the Land and the Sea kicking off with Homo Aqua and Plastic Apocalypse.

And we’d like to know your thoughts on them!

But yes, we are very early. This is unusual territory for us — the last spin-off we covered, if I’m remembering correctly, in any substantial way was Class — and seeing as Doctor Who is in an unusual place right now too, what with only one special episode confirmed for next year, we’re trying something different. Because The War Between the Land and the Sea‘s airing is doubly curious: viewers outside the UK won’t get to watch until sometime in early 2026, and in the UK, we’re getting two episodes in one day.

So: we’d like to know your thoughts on The War Between the Land and the Sea both before and after seeing the first two episodes please.

Anyone who hasn’t seen them should be aware that the comments will be filled with spoilers.

Are you looking forward to the show? It’s certainly got decent reviews in advance, so even those not overly keen on the recent era of Doctor Who might be buoyed by that.

Then, after you’ve seen Homo Aqua and Plastic Apocalypse, we’d love for you to come back and reflect on them and how they compare to your predictions.

You can also see the polls below for the two episodes — please don’t vote until after you’ve seen the spin-off.

Can’t see the poll? It’s probably an ad-blocker or browser restricting additional content. You can still vote by copying these respective URLs into another tabs: https://poll.fm/16357667 and https://poll.fm/16357678 — thanks!

Look out for reviews and further news about The War Between the Land and the Sea on the DWC over the coming weeks…
