Chris Chibnall: Series 11 To Feature "All-New Monsters"

It’s all change for Doctor Who: a brand-new showrunner, a brand-new Doctor and, according to said showrunner, brand-new monsters too.
Taking that clean slate approach beyond just new writers and new companions, showrunner Chris Chibnall told the Radio Times that all the old foes will take a backseat for some brand new, nightmare-inducing creatures.
He said:
“We’ve got a new Doctor, all-new characters, all-new monsters, all-new stories. It’s going to be exciting, emotional and the most enormous fun.”
While we doubt that we’ve said goodbye to the likes of the Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels, it is true to Chibnall’s message so far.
He added:
“It was really important to me that there’s no barrier to entry. You don’t need to know about anything that’s come before.”
But everybody knows the Daleks! Surely, they’ll put in an appearance in Jodie Whittaker’s first season? If they do, it sounds like they’ll be joined by a host of new foes in a galaxy worth of new adventures.
Doctor Who returns this autumn on BBC One.
