Rumours that the Doctor’s greatest enemy – the Daleks – will be back for the upcoming New Year’s Day special have been flying left, right, and centre for a while now; bus Mandip Gill isn’t letting anything out of the bag.

Gill, who plays Yasmin Khan alongside Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor, was asked about the speculation, and replied:

“Well, like you say, they’re just rumors, aren’t they? We’ve managed to get this far keeping everything a secret. Now, how would we let that slip?”

She skirted around the question… but you didn’t really think she’d confirm or deny it, did you? After all, Doctor Who Series 11 has been shrouded in secrecy so far – why spoil that on the final episode?

She went on:

“It’s quite dark, and scary, and eerie. It’s an explosive one [but] it’s really fun and it ties up a lot of loose ends.”

At least we don’t have long to find out more!
