Michelle Gomez, who played Missy opposite Peter Capaldi’s incarnation of the Doctor, says she’d like to meet the Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), despite her character seemingly being killed off in 2017’s The Doctor Falls. Then again, this is the Master/Missy we’re talking about, so resurrection certainly isn’t out of the question anyway.
Gomez said:
“I’d love to have a little run around with her. I don’t know if that’s ever going to happen but I’m completely open to it, and I’d love to see Missy come back in and just get to play again. I don’t know how that’s going to work but I’m always open to offers.”
Now, Gomez is starring in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix; nonetheless, that show’s fandom is just building, and Michelle still loves Doctor Who‘s fanbase. She continues:
“I don’t think any fandom can quite compare to the Doctor Who fandom, who I am eternally loyal to and grateful for. I mean, that fandom has grown up over 50 years, from generation to generation to generation.”
Missy debuted in Deep Breath, as the female regeneration of the Master, who first appeared in Terror of the Autons. She reappeared numerous times, including in Dark Water/ Death in Heaven, The Magician’s Apprentice/ The Witch’s Familiar, and The Lie of the Land. She met John Simm’s Master in World Enough and Time.
