Doctor Who has been nominated in the Best Family Drama category in the TV Choice Awards – and if you want to show your support, voting is open now.
And the show is going to need help because it’s up against a number of TV heavy-hitters: Doc Martin, the much-loved ITV drama starring Martin Clunes (Snakedance); Casualty; and Call the Midwife. Doctor Who is certainly in good company!
Last year, Doctor Who lost out on the Best Family Drama gong to Call the Midwife, but Doc Martin‘s presence this time around could cause further complications, especially as the most recent season could have been its last.
Elsewhere, Suranne Jones’ Gentleman Jack is up for Best Drama; David Tennant is up against Clunes, Paul Mescal, and Stephen McGann for Best Actor; and Bradley Walsh & Son is nominated for Best Factual Show.
You don’t need to register to vote, so head over to the TV Choice Awards page now. Voting closes at midnight on Friday 17th July 2020.
The 2020 ceremony will be shown sometime this autumn online (due to the coronavirus lockdown).
