This Year’s Doctor Who Annual Will Tie Into the Time Lord Victorious Event

In something of a nice surprise, this year’s Doctor Who Annual 2021 will include an exclusive tie-in to the multi-platform event, Time Lord Victorious, the special project which will cross over into releases by BBC Books, Big Finish, Hero Collector, Titan Comics, and more.

We knew Time Lord Victorious would encompass novels, audios, and comics, so the fact it’ll be a presence in this annual is a treat, although makes perfect marketing sense – if fans get the annual fro Christmas, for instance, they might be intrigued enough to search out other instalments in the event.

Here’s the blurb:

Penguin Random House Children’s and BBC Studios announce the publication of Doctor Who: The Official Annual 2021 which includes an exclusive tie-in to the Time Lord Victorious story.

Time Lord Victorious is a brand-new multi-platform Doctor Who story told across audio, novels, comics, vinyl, digital, immersive theatre, escape rooms and games. Time Lord Victorious will launch in September 2020, with products and experiences releasing until early 2021.

The 2021 annual is jam packed with activities, puzzles, stories, facts and illustrations, including a thrilling peek into the world of the TARDIS with a TARDIS Tour and TARDIS Trip Reviewer. Plus more in depth fact files on episodes like Nikola Tesla’s Night of Terror and multiple opportunities to get to know your enemies better with breakdowns of monsters like the Skithra, the Dregs, the CyberMasters and much more.

Note that we don’t know what form this Time Lord Victorious content will take: it could be a feature article about the storyline, or a comic,or a short story, or none of the above. We’ll just have to wait and see!

The Doctor Who Annual 2021 will be released on 3rd September 2020 in hardback priced £7.99.
