It seems very likely that we’ll be treated to a brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials tomorrow — that is, Saturday 23rd September 2023, exactly two months before Doctor Who celebrates 60 years on TV.
The trailer is likely to debut before the first live show of Strictly Come Dancing, seeing as the BBC has started to play a teaser clip that mixes the Doctor Who theme music with that of Strictly. Plus, of course, they’re two of the BBC’s biggest shows, so it makes sense for one to publicise the other!
Okay, so when will it play? It’s most likely to happen at 6:13pm (GMT).
A clip initially shared on Twitter (or X, or whatever Elon’s calling it now) from 16th September has a glitching binary code which translates as:
“Saturday 23rd September, BBC One, 6:13pm.
“Their time has come…”
It’s unusual to get such an exact time, but hey, we’re not complaining!
The trailer will probably feature clips from the three upcoming specials, The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, and The Giggle. These episodes, written by showrunner Russell T Davies, star David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor, alongside Catherine Tate returning as Donna Noble.
And we’re sure to see glimpses of Beep the Meep (voiced by Miriam Margoyles) and an as-yet-unnamed character played by Neil Patrick Harris.
We’ll obviously share the trailer as soon as we can on the Doctor Who Companion too, so keep ’em peeled, Who fans!
