The BBC Writers website has finally added the shooting scripts for Doctor Who Series 15 (aka Season 2) to their Whoniverse library, plus the 2024 Christmas special Joy to the World (listed as part of Series 14/Season 1).
These were released on 23rd November 2025 to celebrate the show’s 62nd anniversary, coinciding with the Season 2 deleted scenes (uploaded onto the official YouTube channel) and also the long-awaited release date of the Series 10 soundtrack!
Featuring the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu), with Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) returning in several episodes, we have:
- The Robot Revolution
- Lux
- The Well
- Lucky Day
- The Story & the Engine
- The Interstellar Song Contest
- Wish World
- The Reality War
Unfortunately, The Reality War script doesn’t include the rumoured original ending with the Doctor and Belinda partying at a club, and featuring another cameo appearance from Carole Ann Ford as Susan, the Doctor’s granddaughter. Not even amongst the deleted scenes compilation. It’s a real shame that we haven’t been given any official confirmation on how Series 15 originally would’ve concluded without Ncuti Gatwa apparently regenerating into Billie Piper.

Furthermore, earlier in November, BBC Writers also added Toby Whithouse’s The God Complex (Series 6 Episode 11) and both Series 7 scripts – The Rings of Akhaten and Hide (under the working title, The Hider in the House) – by Luther creator Neil Cross.
And with The War Between the Land and the Sea on the horizon (no pun intended), I’m already hoping for the scripts by Russell T Davies and Pete McTighe to be released sometime in 2026.
