Doctor Who fans have had the chance to buy a ’roundel’ used in the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Doctors’ TARDIS… although they’re now all sold out.
The TARDIS set, used by David Tennant and Ncuti Gatwa, was dismantled in July, and was pretty extensively pale; the roundels — i.e. the circular bits in the walls of the console room, for those not well versed in the franchise yet — added a bit of colour as tey lit up in rainbow patterns at various intervals.
The set was constructed across 16 weeks in 2023 at the Bad Wolf production studio and remained standing for quite some time after Gatwa finished shooting Doctor Who. Nonetheless, with the show now out to tender, that TARDIS has been dismantled –which, with the exception of possible CGI inserts, likely means the cliffhanger from The Reality War (which briefly saw the Doctor regenerate into Billie Piper for some reason) and the whole Fifteenth Doctor era will be moved on from after a new production begins work, as predicted.
The roundels went up for sale today (Wednesday 21st October 2026) via the Propstore website, but are now sold out. Sorry to DWC readers who might’ve wanted one; however, I’ve a feeling our audience wouldn’t be champing at the bit for one. And for those of you who may have considered bonfire night being just around the corner, they cost a few hundred pounds each, so your best bit is to carry on with your Omega-styled Guy instead.
