Big Finish’s Doctor Who Main Range – aka The Monthly Adventures – ends this week with its 275th release, and to celebrate, you can download the very first title of the series, The Sirens of Time, completely free.

While the UK remains in lockdown, Big Finish is releasing free downloads of full-cast audio dramas – or #lockdownloads – for a limited time. Every Monday, a new story (or episode from a box set collection) can be downloaded for free.

Originally released in July 1999 and written by Nicholas Briggs, The Sirens of Time was the very first Monthly Adventure. Featuring the Fifth (Peter Davison), Sixth (Colin Baker) and Seventh (Sylvester McCoy) Doctors, this classic tale is best enjoyed alongside Talking ‘Bout My Regeneration, a free full-length documentary about how Doctor Who at Big Finish began.

Here’s the synopsis:

Gallifrey is in a state of crisis, facing destruction at the hands of an overwhelming enemy. And the Doctor is involved in three different incarnations – each caught up in a deadly adventure, scattered across time and space. The web of time is threatened – and someone wants the Doctor dead.  

The three incarnations of the Doctor must join together to set time back on the right track – but in doing so, will they unleash a still greater threat?
