New Trailer Released for Christmas Special, Twice Upon A Time

The end is rapidly approaching: the BBC has signaled the oncoming regeneration of the Twelfth Doctor with a festive trailer for Twice Upon A Time.
And it’s a tad upsetting.
Let’s not ramble on: check out the teaser now.

Twice Upon A Time is the last regular appearance of Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth, and the final to be written by outgoing showrunner, Steven Moffat. As you can see, David Bradley plays the First Doctor, a role originally taken by the wonderful William Hartnell, and Pearl Mackie also returns as Bill Potts. This Christmas episode continues from the cliffhanger at the conclusion of the Series 10 finale, The Doctor Falls, which saw the Doctors seemingly refusing to regenerate.
Thanks to that brief snippet, it looks like opinions will change.
We also have glass monsters, two TARDISes in a stunning new time vortex, echoes of The Day of the Doctor, and someone finally questioning the sonic sunglasses – or at least their indoor use. And yes, while the new vortex looks great, the regeneration looks a bit – wrong. Doesn’t it? I guess we shall see.
Ah, Doctor. Come back alive…
Twice Upon A Time airs on BBC1 on 25th December 2017 at 5:30pm.
