American Doctor Who fans can enter a prize draw to have breakfast with the Thirteenth Doctor herself, Jodie Whittaker – including travel to the UK to enjoy an exclusive set tour!
The contest is part of the fundraising effort, Red Nose Day, an event that typically happens in March or April in the UK and May in the USA:
Red Nose Day USA’s mission is to end child poverty—one nose at a time. Red Nose Day USA launched in America in 2015 and has raised nearly $150 million in its first four years in the US. Funds raised support programs that ensure children who are living in poverty are safe, healthy and educated. Red Nose Day started in the UK in 1988 and has raised over $1 billion globally. In 2019 Red Nose Day returns Thursday, May 23 when millions of Americans, celebrities and businesses will come together wearing their Red Noses—sold exclusively at Walgreens—to fundraise, donate and tune in for a special night of programming on NBC.
This breakfast offer includes accommodation at a 4-star hotel, presumably in Cardiff, where Doctor Who Series 12 is currently filming. The winner also gets to visit the set – likely the TARDIS – where they’ll likely meet other cast and crew members. We wouldn’t be surprised if at least Mandip Gill (Yasmin Khan) and Tosin Cole (Ryan Sinclair) are there.
