Was this the prototype for Chris Chibnall’s era of Doctor Who? The Doctor bouncing around with childish enthusiasm, a companion’s elder family member joining the TARDIS crew, and the great villian being humanity.

That’s right, Doctor Who fans around the world will be getting together at 7pm (GMT) on Saturday 6th February to watch Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, the second episode of Series 7 in 2012.

It’s the latest of the Doctor Who Lockdown tweet-along rewatches organised by Doctor Who Magazine‘s Emily Cook (now a Big Finish producer too), and is possibly the most convincing display of dinosaurs in the show’s 57-year history. I’m sorry Invasion of the Dinosaurs fans, not even a Blu-ray release will make those dinosaurs look realistic.

The hashtag to follow the latest’s rewatch is the catchy #WhosALovelyTricey, which references a friendly Triceratops that stars in the episode.

Previous lockdown rewatches have included The Day of the Doctor, Rose, Dalek, The Doctor’s Wife, The Pilot, The Fires of Pompeii, and plenty more since the country’s first lockdown early last year.

With the UK’s national lockdown set to continue for several more weeks, expect more Lockdown rewatches to be announced soon.
