The Radio Times is celebrating 20 years of so-called NuWho, that is the 2005 revival of Doctor Who, with six great covers, featuring the Ninth, Tenth and Fourteenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth, and Fifteenth Doctors.
The TV and radio coverage magazine has a long history of featuring Doctor Who on its cover, but the last time something like this was realised was back in 2013 for the programme’s 50th anniversary, for which 12 covers were released, each with a different Doctor and monsters on.
Obviously, David Tennant, having played a couple of major incarnations of the Time Lord, features on just the one cover, representing the Tenth and Fourteenth Doctors but from a photo shoot for the Tenth.
Otherwise, we have some stunning photos of Christopher Eccleston, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker, and current Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa. Check them out:

The issue also includes an interview with current showrunner, who also ushered in a new age of Doctor Who in 2005, Russell T Davies, plus the magazine’s top 20 episodes from across those two decades.
Inside, the Radio Times asks Davies why he thinks the show remains so popular, and he replies:
“It’s different every single week: not just on a different planet, but often a different genre, the cast keeps changing, and that keeps people excited.”
Hard to argue with that! This is a show that gives us The Satan Pit one week and Love & Monsters the next; Robot of Sherwood then Listen! It’s a remarkable format — it always has been, and that hopefully means the franchise has a long future in store, whether on screen or elsewhere.
