The cast and crew of the upcoming festive special, Twice Upon A Time have got together to wish viewers a very Merry Christmas in a neat little video.
It celebrates the 12 days of Christmas (admittedly, a tad early) with – you might’ve guessed it – 12 Doctors. Ish. Don’t get too excited: they’re referenced; they don’t appear. But there are famous faces in there – namely, Peter Capaldi, David Bradley, Pearl Mackie, Nick Briggs, and Mark Gatiss. Sit back, turn the volume up, and enjoy.

You might have recognised a few faces in the crowd at the end. Alongside Capaldi, Mackie, Briggs, and Bradley, you can see showrunner, Steven Moffat; director, Rachel Talalay; executive producer, Brian Minchin; and many, many more.
Honestly, it’s a bit of a surprise it’s taken the BBC this long to do a “12 Doctors of Christmas” video – then again, this is the last time they can do so, as Twice Upon A Time introduces Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor’s thirteenth incarnation.
This year’s Christmas special will also likely be the last time we see this TARDIS exterior (which hasn’t changed since 2010) and interior (introduced in 2012). As well as being Capaldi’s swansong, Moffat is also leaving the show, as is Pearl Mackie. Twice Upon A Time really is the end of an era.
Twice Upon A Time airs on BBC1 on Christmas Day at 5:30pm.
