Big Finish: What Are The Top 5 Seventh Doctor Audio Adventures?

Big Finish has revealed the top five Seventh Doctor stories as chosen by Radio Times readers – and, for a limited time, those five stories are available to download for half price!

This is the third of Radio Times’ Doctor Who – The Monthly Adventures polls, in which Big Finish listeners decide which are their favourite episodes from each Doctor featured in the range. Here are the cream of the crop for Sylvester McCoy’s Doctor:

  • A Death in the Family by Steven Hall (October 2010), starring Sylvester McCoy (the Seventh Doctor), Sophie Aldred (Ace), Philip Olivier (Hex) & Maggie Stables (Evelyn)
  • Protect and Survive by Jonathan Morris (July 2012), starring Sylvester McCoy (the Seventh Doctor), Sophie Aldred (Ace) & Philip Olivier (Hex)
  • Night Thoughts by Edward Young (February 2006), starring Sylvester McCoy (the Seventh Doctor), Sophie Aldred (Ace) & Philip Olivier (Hex)
  • Red Planets by Una McCormack (August 2018), starring Sylvester McCoy (the Seventh Doctor), Bonnie Langford (Melanie Bush) & Sophie Aldred (Ace)
  • Fiesta of the Damned by Guy Adams (August 2016), starring Sylvester McCoy (the Seventh Doctor), Bonnie Langford (Melanie Bush) & Sophie Aldred (Ace)

That’s a pretty decent selection across the years!

Download discounts on these top five Monthly Adventures, including bundle deals, are available now. Offers expire at 23:59, UK time, on 31st May 2021.

And in the anniversary week of his UK TV debut, voting has begun for the Eighth Doctor’s Monthly Adventures and closes on Friday 28th May at 2pm, with the winning adventures announced on Tuesday 1st June.

Executive Editor of RadioTimes.com Morgan Jeffrey said:

“Heigh-Ho and away! To round off our series of polls celebrating Big Finish’s landmark monthly range of Doctor Who audio dramas, we’re asking fans to vote for their favourite Eighth Doctor story from the main range – and there are some corkers, from Paul McGann’s Big Finish debut in 2001’s Storm Warning to the monthly range swansong, 2021’s The End of the Beginning. Charley! C’rizz! Vortisaurs! Rassilon! Zagreus! What a journey it was…”

You can vote your favourite Eighth Doctor stories over at the Radio Times.
