Series 13: New Doctor Who Flux Trailer Showcases New and Returning Monsters

A new trailer for Doctor Who Series 13, one six-part story called Flux, has been unveiled and it features a whole host of new and returning monsters.

We’re not classing this as a spoiler anymore because… well, the BBC showed the trailer, so there are obviously more surprises to come aside from “yep, the Sontarans are back”! Here’s the teaser:

This is the last full season of stories to feature Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor and Mandip Gill as Yasmin Khan, although they’ll be back for three specials across 2022.

In the above trailer, you’ll have seen the newly-designed Sontarans, plus the Weeping Angels, Ood, and Cybermen. This is in addition to some creepy new aliens including the dog-like Karvanista.

You’ll also have seen some guest stars, including Kevin McNally (The Twin Dilemma), Craig Parkinson (Line of Duty), and Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners).

And this series will introduce John Bishop as companion, Dan Lewis.

Executive Producer, Matt Strevens said:

“I can’t wait for the audience to come on the Flux ride with us. It’s our biggest adventure yet with so many brilliant new characters to fall in love with. We had a blast making it.”

So what do you think, gang? Appetites sufficiently whetted?

Doctor Who: Flux starts on 31st October 2021.
