Doctor Who’s Camille Coduri Headlines This Weekend’s Stars of Time Event

Camille Coduri makes her Stars of Time debut tomorrow (30th November 2024), at this year’s winter event in the UK seaside town of Weston-super-Mare!

Coduri, of course, played Jackie Tyler, Rose’s mum, between 2005 and 2008, first appearing in Rose, and has since been in audio stories for Big Finish. This is her first time at the Stars of Time convention, that takes place in the summer and winter in Weston (there are further events of the same name in Swindon and Swansea).

She’ll be joined by returning guest, the lovely Katy Manning, who played Third Doctor companion, Jo Grant. She’s been at the Stars of Time before, but is always very welcome, bringing a joy to the show. Plus, she recognised me and hugged me, so there. I got a hug from Jo Grant. Yeah, I’m sure lots of other people have too, but don’t spoil this for me.

Another new guest is Dalek Operator and ‘monster actor,’ Tim Dane Reid, who played one of the Whisper Men in The Name of the Doctor and a zombified crewmember in Oxygen. I love those episodes, so am looking forward to picking his brains.

They’ll be joined by two actors who should be very familiar to Star Wars fans: Ross Sambridge (Snoke) and Mike Quinn (Nien Nunb).

The Stars of Time takes place at the Winter Gardens on the seafront at Weston-super-Mare, a one-day event on 30th November 2024. You can find out more, including prices for autographs and photographs, over at the official site.
