Toby Hadoke Presents His Doctor Who Memoriam for Those We Lost in 2024

As 2025 settles into its groove, it’s a good time to look back at the past 12 months and remember those Doctor Who alumni, cast and crew, who passed away in 2024.

Writer and documentary maker, Toby Hadoke, has shared a lovely video that not only looks at the people we lost in 2024, but also those whose passings have only recently come to light, across Doctor Who in various mediums.

The video begins, of course, with a clip of William Russell as Ian Chesterton, then moves to pay tribute to as many people from TV, audio, and comics who died last year or shortly beforehand. These include:

  • David Graham, voice of the Daleks.
  • Cy Town, Dalek Operator in the 1970s and 1980s.
  • Georgine Anderson (Gridlock).
  • Terence Lodge (Carnival of Monsters).
  • Leon Davis (Terror of the Vervoids).
  • Arnold Yarrow (Death to the Daleks).
  • Ernest Vincze, Director of Photography in the Ninth and Tenth Doctor eras.
  • Roberta Taylor (The Holy Terror).
  • Ian Gelder (Can You Hear Me?).
  • Ysanne Churchman, Alpha Centuria’s representative in the Peladon stories, and Empress of Mars.
  • Marina Martin (Galaxy 4).
  • Roy Boyd (The Hand of Fear).
  • Diana Brookes, Production Assistant on Arc of Infinity.
  • Michael Jayston, aka the Valeyard.

Here’s the video in full.
