Bradley Walsh: Doctor Who Series 12 Features "Terrifying Monsters"

Now that filming for Doctor Who Series 12 has finished, we’re eagerly anticipating news and footage of the upcoming run of stories; now, Bradley Walsh has further teased that the season will feature “absolutely terrifying monsters”.

The actor, who plays companion, Graham O’Brien, says:

“I’ve got to say, be prepared for the monsters. Because there are some monsters that will absolutely make your hair curl. There’s a couple of monsters that they’ve come up with that are absolutely terrifying – and I mean terrifying.”

This is surely great news; a big criticism of Jodie Whittaker’s debut series as the Thirteenth Doctor was the lack of memorable aliens. Tim Shaw bookended the series (in The Woman Who Fell to Earth and The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos), but otherwise, its most memorable monster was probably the Pting in The Tsuranga Conundrum.

Some, like the Remnants in The Ghost Monument, were a nice idea but arguably weren’t realised or utilised effectively enough.

The only alien (apart from the Doctor!) confirmed to return so far are the Judoon. But more are rumoured and have been seen on location.

Fingers crossed we’ll see some scary creatures in the Series 12 trailer, which looks to premiere this Saturday (23rd November 2019)…
