We’re only a few days away from episode 7 of Doctor Who Series 12, Can You Hear Me?, and the BBC has released a brief synopsis, plus the guest cast for the story.
Written by Charlene James and Chris Chibnall, here’s the blurb for the intriguingly-titles Can You Hear Me?:
From ancient Syria to present day Sheffield, and out into the wilds of space, something is stalking the Doctor and her friends and infecting people’s nightmares.
As Graham, Yaz and Ryan return home to see friends and family, they find themselves haunted by very different experiences. Who is the figure calling from beyond the stars for help, and why? And what are the fearsome Chagaskas terrorising Aleppo in 1380? To find the answers, Team TARDIS embark on a mission that forces them to face their darkest fears.
There seems to be a theme developing this series, of the TARDIS team being split up across three different locations, arguably set up in last season’s The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos…
The episode features Ian Gelder (voice from The Ghost Monument, who mentioned the Timeless Child) as Zellin, Clare-Hope Ashitey as Rakaya, Aruhan Galieva as Tahira, Sirine Saba as Maryan, Amanda Liberman as Mum, Nasreen Hussain as Anita Patel, Everal A Walsh as Gabriel, Michael Keane as Fred, Anthony Taylor as Andrew, Bhavnisha Parmar as Yaz’s sister (Sonya Khan), Buom Tihngang as Tibo (Ryan’s friend), and Willie Jonah as Old Tibo.
Can You Hear Me? is directed by Emma Sullivan and airs Sunday 9th February 2020.
