Doctor Who: Battles in Time Cards Return With New Obliterator Set, Released Next Month

The popular Doctor Who card game, Battles in Time, returns this summer with an all-new 2026 Obliterator collection, including cards from throughout the show’s history, running right up until the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) era!

Battles in Time: Obliterator is being released in two editions: one is available exclusively from Master Replicas in sealed boxes of 36 packs, due out in July. The second is an Unlimited Retail Edition, which features a silver foil Obliterator logo on every card and will be released separately later in 2026.

Every card from the Master Replicas collection includes a special gold foil Obliterator logo, with each box sealed using a tamper-proof authenticity sticker signifying the 2026 Limited Edition release. And each box contains a rare oversized card, with six to collect in total.

Each individual pack contains six cards, featuring UV glossed base cards, rainbow foil enhanced rares, premium holofoil super rares, and metallic technology featured on the ultra-chase Vortex Rare cards.

Blogtor Who has a nice interview with Master Replicas’ Creative Director, Ben Robinson, who, rather intriguingly, says:

“I’d forgotten just how much photography we had. We were still commissioning our own shoots until well into the Eleventh Doctor’s time so there was a lot to work with. The shoots are always quite entertaining – some actors particularly enjoy playing around”.

Exclusive photos certainly make this set tempting…

Cards we’ve glimpsed so far include The Moment (from The Day of the Doctor), used to win any battle with any opponents which is quite astounding; the body-bag-type Cybermen from World Enough and Time; a Smiler from The Beast Below; and David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor.
